I was scrolling through my upvoted history the other day and felt a bit called out. Dozens of products I got excited about, upvoted because they looked cool, and then never thought about again. Not because the products were bad, I just moved on. Hitting the upvote was the entire interaction.

It made me wonder how much of Product Hunt is actually about discovering useful tools versus just chasing that quick hit of novelty. I'm definitely guilty of using it like any other feed: scroll, get a quick surge of excitement, upvote, and immediately forget. Then a week later, I find myself looking for a tool to solve a specific problem, completely ignoring the fact that I probably upvoted three identical solutions days ago.

The gap between what I upvote and what actually makes it into my daily routine is huge. Maybe that s normal and browsing is just entertainment, or maybe I need to be a lot more intentional with what I save.

How many of your upvotes turn into apps you actually open again? Is your upvote history a functional library, or is it basically a graveyard too?

We use AI to improve something in the process (mostly to speed up the process).

But whenever I see and suspect that something is generated by LLMs, I feel that the person on the other side has slopped it a bit (and subconsciously I perceive it as "something less").
