Fred DuVal is the President of DuVal and Associates, a consulting firm he founded in 2001, specializing in government affairs and policy strategies for major clients like Pfizer, Aetna, and T. Boone Pickens. He has been a Regent on the Arizona Board of Regents since 2007, appointed by Democratic and Republican governors. Fred has led higher education reform, co-chairing the "Getting AHEAD" initiative and creating AZtransfer.com. He also founded the National Institute for Civil Discourse after the shooting of Rep. Gabby Giffords. In national politics, Fred served as Deputy Assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs under President Bill Clinton and Deputy Chief of Protocol for the U.S. government.
