Saw this on HN and thought it was worthy of Hunting. Really great idea, excellent execution, and super low cost make this something that could very well become a commercial product.

I personally love my Moto360 and, after having used the Apple Watch for a spell, I'm convinced Google gets the UI side of a wearable better than Apple does, which for some will be a shock. The relatively-limited affordances in Wear actually make it a much more usable wearable experience than the overly-complex and numerous interactions — and app designs — on the Apple Watch. Here's hoping...

Got a laugh out of me. Not sure if the humor is worth the round-trip time to generate the response in an app; maybe better as a lib for a bunch of standard web frameworks (e.g., sinatra-cats.gem).

Huge fan and supporter of these guys. They work super hard, and their product is fantastic — I used it extensively when travelling around for business back in 2013. It works flawlessly and it's incredibly well priced, delivering immense consumer value and in a package that is Apple-esque in its "It just works" simplicity. Can't say enough good things about it.

Very interesting business model, and I love the core concept. I wish my gym would adopt this payment model, haha.

Pretty solid first attempt! The combo mechanic for getting a new power up is compelling. I like the Dots-esque minimalism, too. Pro-tips: I'd improve the feedback when your clear the screen. The user isn't given enough of an "oomph". The sound effects are likewise a little flat. I'd find a Bandcamp or Soundcloud (search chip tune and sort by views then go to the last page of results) chip tuner...

Totally need this; much better approach than the Hue, especially if the price is right. Up votes and subscribes for you!

Not really sure what the value on this is over something like HipChat (for a more R&D-driven business) or Chatter / Yammer (for a more sales-focused business). Yes, the interface is nice, but all of the aforementioned competitors offer feature parity (aside from perhaps the #hashtags) and far more value-add, such as integration with JIRA/Crucible in HipChat and integration with Salesforce in...

I wasn't really sold on the idea until I read the following example use case: "Sure: When a 6-year old daughter presses the bttn in the front hall, Daddy's cell receives the SMS message 'I am home! Emily (via button).'" The obvious Twilio integration there really opened my mind to the potential uses here, even in the office. Very simple but nonetheless interesting idea!
