I'm Fernando, a veteran in the software engineering arena. My journey began in Brazil over 20 years ago, providing me with a unique global perspective that has only deepened during my 10 years in Vancouver, BC. I'm passionate about marrying this international outlook with tech to inspire true innovation. As the Director of Engineering at Thinkific, I have the unique opportunity to shape the future of the education and creator economy. In my role, I don't just build software; I build teams and leaders. My day-to-day involves system design but also the more human aspects of engineering—mentorship, strategic planning, and team-building.
