I just launched SafeTimer — a quiet safeguard for when you don't return

Hi everyone

Today I launched SafeTimer a quiet web tool that auto-sends your message if you don't come back on time.

SafeTimer - Alerts loved ones if you don't return on time.

Set a countdown and choose a trusted contact. If you don't check in when time's up, your saved message is sent automatically. From solo trips and late shifts to delicate moments when you're on your own — SafeTimer helps someone know you're okay, or reach out if you're not.

Learning something new everyday

Hello makers, I am new to PH! I had a good time in tech for 20 years from engineer to senior leader. This year I've decided to take a break when my previous employer laid off my peers and my entire Engineering team. I felt I couldn't keep quiet after seeing how layoffs and burnout impacted our lives.

Instead of jumping into another job, I chose to build Glowstep.io - a space to help tech professionals reinvent their careers after setbacks. To rebuild confidence, clarity, and community. One step at a time.
We had done user interviews, workshops, events and now we are now preparing for the launch of our first software MVP. Exciting but also scary!

Is there a demand for niche apps regarding emotion-focused digital legacy?

Hi everyone! I'm FarLee_70s, the maker behind KeepBridge.

In 2014, MH370 s disappearance made me think about unspoken words.

Years of solo travel and life s uncertainties deepened that question:

What if we could leave reassurance, even when we re not around?
I ve been a computer enthusiast since the DOS days in the early 90s.
In this AI-dominated tech wave, choosing simple technology for a profound meaning feels like a middle-aged uncle s sentiment.
In 2025, when my daughter graduated from college, we decided to build something human - KeepBridge, a small "control tower" for life.
How it works
Based on a simple check-in (like a plane s ping to the control tower), KeepBridge has 3 key functions to help deal with life s uncertainties.
Here s how I use them:
Time Capsule Stores messages like:
My seed phrase is in the dictionary on the bookshelf.
No sensitive info online, just instructions for offline secrets.
Messages are delivered if I miss a long-term check-in (300 days).
As a BTC holder, it s my last line of defense. If something happens to me, it guides my daughter to find my things.
Keeper s Watch I live alone in the countryside.
If I miss a 72-hour check-in, my brother gets an alert.
Guardian Me For solo motorcycle trips, I set a short countdown (e.g., 4 hours).
It s like buckling up before I ride out.
BTW: Earlier this year, a woman in Indiana was stranded in her car for nearly a week after an accident. If she d had something like this, help might have come much sooner.
Looking for advice from fellow makers
I don t have a marketing team or big social reach it s just me (and my daughter) building this from our kitchen table.
We re preparing to launch on Product Hunt, but I m still figuring out how to make it visible as a small indie project.
I d love to hear your thoughts:
Does this idea make sense to you?
Would you or someone you know actually use something like this?
Any tips for a first-time PH launch?
Every bit of advice or encouragement helps more than you know.

What Re‑Loop Is and Why I Had to Build It

Re Loop isn t another productivity app.

It s something I built because I couldn t hold anything in my head anymore.

After years of chronic illness, burnout, and a late ADHD diagnosis, none of the systems I used could carry what I needed them to. I forgot small things constantly. Laundry. Trash. Things I promised to do. The guilt piled up. I kept apologizing, and I kept trying.

hi, new here.

hi there, i am a belgium based AI enthousiast and life long dreamer. i am doodling with software development all my life, even way back as c64 basic - and yes i am that old. later i tried many other stuff, visual basic, html and css, turbo pascal and eventualy the great big C++. C++ was my nemesis back then, ok maybe woman and partying to (he i was 20, give me a break) but it made me hiatus on coding, i got married, kids, job, promotion, and finaly... divource. the separation wasnt hard, we grew apart, everyone was relieved, no hate anymore... the peace kind of made me look up coding again. not soon after i was with a highscool budy trying to make unity games and write stuff in C#... i dont know if its the age, the lack of alcohol or me just older but coding is more accesible. visual studio - and VS code, unity, C# is so much more understandeble and phyton resembles Basic, what?? anywhay the unity teamup didnt work, we parted ways and i discovered the miracle world of AI....OMG...chatgpt, claude, oilama, trea, replit... what in the world is going on. so long story short i finaly did it... i made a finished - ready to use - piece of software i am proud enough of to show to others. nothing fancy though a small chrome extension that with user input apikeys provide the latest trends in whatever keywordes the user puts in. i really dont know if it has any commercial value but its clean and finnished enough to show it to others.
