We build tools for reading HUD's rent data without opening a spreadsheet. Fair Market Rent Map covers Fair Market Rents and Small Area FMRs for all 50 states and 33,000+ ZIP codes, with history back to FY2000 and the 90% and 110% payment standards most housing authorities use to set voucher amounts. Searching is free and takes no account. It's built for three people: the voucher holder checking what their area actually allows, the landlord working out whether Section 8 pencils out, and the housing counselor who needs a straight answer faster than HUD's own site will give one. There's also a free embeddable widget if you want the same lookup running on your own site.
