Setting up a new business is tough, but growing it is tougher! So, what s the hardest part of growing a startup? What difficulties can a entrepreneur face and how can he/she overcome it?
What was your first project and how did you get started? Curious how makers get started in their journey and learn the skills they need to create something. Any advice for makers who have an idea but don't know where to start in the building journey?
When you have a new idea do you buy the domain straight away or wait a while? I tend to get the domain first hence why I have about 10 unused domains right now
I've always gotten a mixed review around working on weekends. Some prefer it to be a no work zone so they can start the work day week fresh but others like to mix it up. What do you do?
This sounds silly but when I launched my first startup 5 years ago, we didn't put in a vesting schedule Wanted to see what others have done but also things we know to avoid in the future!
I've built Ship 30 for 30 - a cohort-based writing course - from idea to over 1,400 students in six months. I've learned a ton along the way about marketing, scaling, building community, iterating and improving a course, and made just about every mistake there is to make. I did all this while having a full-time job! I'd love to answer any questions you have on bootstrapping demand for your course, marketing, building, scaling, and everything in-between as well as how to manage side projects. AMA
In September, I had a few hundred followers on Twitter. Now, I'm about to reach 50k. In February, my personal brand and content helped me land my dream job as CMO at Copy.ai. In March, I started building Float
Hey everyone! I'm back from my pat leave and missed most of the July launches :( So was curious to know what are some products that caught your attention. Tag the makers and bonus points to those who point why the product is a fav! Thanks for replying
I'm a maker, marketer, writer and community builder, and a huge fan of the creator economy. I'm obsessed with newsletters and am addicted to creating new things & optimizing operational workflows using no-code tools. I started writing a newsletter, BrainPint last year and tumbled into a newsletter rabbit hole, which led me to create Newsletter Operating System, an all-in-one resource for newsletter writers built on Notion. It has helped more than 1,100 newsletter writers start, grow, organize and earn from their newsletters. I pivoted from corporate life to tech and am currently the Program Manager at On Deck s No-Code Fellowship. I m surrounded by amazing builders who play positive-sum games and am so thankful for that! I love to learn, curate, write and build things, in addition to social dancing, travel (hopefully I can get back to that!), and trivia. I'll be here on 5th August at 9AM PST / 6PM CET to answer any questions about newsletters, Notion, no-code, info products, building in public, curation, the creator economy and even how to break into tech! Basically, ask me anything. Drop your questions below
Last year I was spending most of my days doing web & UI-based freelance work for brands like Nike, Sonder, and smaller companies you've probably never heard of. I learned a lot but wasn't making money when I wasn't working, and rarely worked on anything that would compound my efforts over time. Now, I dabble with digital products I can build once and sell repeatedly and mostly spend my days building Super, a really simple way for anyone to build websites using Notion. Ask me anything
