I've used a lot of language apps before, and let's not trick ourselves, nobody has learned a language solely by using those. This one has a nice caveat, teaching actual useful and fun daily language, and it achieves this in a great way. Instead stuff like "the green owl thinks the moon is made of cheese", it teaches you how to call out this bullshit. I've been saying the stuff I learned here to Spanish speakers I meet and it always guarantees I have a good time and make friends.
The app itself is designed elegantly, there's a lot of insight behind it. Clearly designed by people who has used other apps before and realized what they're lacking.
