BadDog is a free macOS focus app that plays increasingly obnoxious sounds when you wander off task - and won't let you mute it.
How it works:
Set which apps you should be working in.
BadDog watches your active window from the menu bar
Open a blocked app or website?
BadDog starts making noise.
And the longer you stay off task, the worse it gets.
The only way to make it stop is to get back to work (or hit the emergency kill hotkey).

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built BadDog because every focus app I've tried operates on the honor system — they block a site, you click "skip" or just open a different browser, and you're right back to doomscrolling. BadDog takes a different approach: it doesn't block anything. It just makes your life miserable until you go back to what you're supposed to be doing. Classical conditioning, basically....
