I am Stacy, founder of FounderFlow. For years I ran a service business alone, and the hardest part was never the actual work, it was not knowing which client, which lead, or which task actually needed me first on a given morning. Reports and dashboards told me what already happened. None of them told me what was about to break if nobody stepped in.

I used to find out about problems in my business only after they had already become expensive. A client who was ready to leave before they said anything. A hire who had checked out weeks before handing in notice. A number that had been sliding while I was buried in other things. None of the warnings were hidden, I simply was not looking in the right place at the right time.

What is the last thing your business tried to tell you before you actually heard it, and how much did the delay end up costing you?

I have started noticing that clients rarely announce when something is going wrong. They just get slower to reply, or their questions get shorter, or they stop asking about the thing they used to ask about every week. By the time someone actually complains, the real damage happened weeks earlier and everyone just called it a busy season. I am curious what the earliest tell has been for other founders, the one signal that in hindsight always shows up before the complaint does. What is yours, and did you catch it in time or only see it afterward?
