So far, this looks like a very good product. I've been using Plot Bot with ChatGPT, but - to be honest - I haven't actually finished writing the first book in my planned cozy mystery series. Frankly, I have a bazillion other projects that are a higher priority. Well, that and the fact that I keep hitting writers' block with this cozy series' first book.
Oh, I love the vague, general concept of my series. It's the nuts-and-bolts that keep challenging me.
Though Magic Fiction Writer seems to be in beta at the moment, I decided to give it a try (free), just to see if it might be helpful.
It was.
Test-driving Magic Fiction Writer, I saw light at the end of this can't-seem-to-finish-this-book tunnel. For me, that's a HUGE improvement, as this particular series has been on my virtual desktop for over a year.
While Magic Fiction Writer's language in the two-chapter intro was far more flowery than I'd use, there were enough elements to get me past my current struggles with my story. In fact, just the character summaries were insightful enough to re-ignite my enthusiasm for this series.
Oh, some of the specifics in the summaries were way off-base. ( That's not Magic Fiction Writer's glitch... I hadn't given it much to work with). However, at least 80% of it filled in blanks that I'd needed... but hadn't realized that I'd needed.
So, I'm getting back on track with my cozies. And probably using Magic Fiction Writer, at least to get me past the biggest challenges in launching this series.
