I don't really know if this is the best place to ask/discuss it, since it's a bit basic/generic. That said - how do you come up with project ideas? Main advice I remember reading was to solve problems you have, but I don't really notice/encounter them. I have this over-romanticized idea of creating/maintaining a software side-project which I just don't seem to be able to satisfy with my day-to-day work (software consultant).
Any similiar experiences?
