A few month back, I noticed a gap while validating my idea. AI would give different answers every time, competitors were hard to map, and public data was scattered across dozens of platforms.
So instead of relying on prompts, I built something for myself a small tool that combined AI reasoning with real signals from the market.
The first version of MarketScope was fast and useful it compared new startup ideas with existing products using public data, demand patterns, and market gaps.
It was meant to be a quick scanner to help founders avoid duplicate ideas and save hours of research.
But there was a problem:
AI often gave optimistic scores because it didn t consider real-world execution issues.
At first, I was planning to build a map based platform to list the NGOs from tier 2 and tier 3 cities. In my country, lots of food get wasted during celebrations. I wanted to build a platform where only the NGOs would be listed so that people can find the ones who accept extra food as donation. But I needed to know the important players in non-profit field and how they are doing it and what are gaps. But the analysis was not easy even with ChatGpt as I had to ask 3- 4 questions and I was getting different answers every time. Then it hit me that all founders and solopreneurs have to go through this each time they want to build and start something new. Because without knowing the market, you can't jump to something. There are high chances that you would end up creating duplicate products. MarketScope helps you in removing these barriers. I have another intention behind the creation of this app but that's for another day.
