Filmmaker building AI tools for Editors

About

Documentary filmmaker and founder of Doza Visuals, a boutique production studio in Boston. My work has appeared in The New York Times, VICE, and Runner's World. Clients include TB12, Reebok, UNESCO, Nissan, and many more. I build tools to solve problems I hit in my own production workflow. Currently working on Doza Assist, a free and open source local-first AI editor's assistant for documentary and spoken-word video. Built it because I was tired of pasting transcripts into ChatGPT and manually hunting for the good moments. I believe local-first AI is the future of creative tools. No cloud. No compromise on privacy. Based in Boston. Available for calls worldwide.

Doza Assist - Open-source local AI that learns how you edit video

Documentary editors spend days hunting through interview footage for the moments that carry the story. Doza Assist does that pass in minutes. Drop in an interview. Get back transcription, story analysis, and a rough cut shaped by your own editing style, not generic AI. Exports to Final Cut Pro, Premiere, and DaVinci Resolve. Runs 100% on your Mac. Nothing uploads to the cloud. Open source on GitHub under MIT license. Signed Mac app shipping soon. Join the waitlist.
