Hi, I’m Alexander, a tech entrepreneur in Los Angeles, where people chase impossible dreams for a living. I picked a more impossible one than most. One evening, a deck of cards and one stubborn question got hold of me: could anyone ever shuffle the exact same order twice? Not before the heat death of the universe. So I built a website, hired a mathematician in a top hat and invited the whole internet to try anyway. My goals: get the whole world shuffling together, make 8 × 10⁶⁷ feel real, and maybe, just maybe, complete the mission as humankind. The serious part: every proper shuffle creates an order that has almost certainly never existed before. The most ordinary thing in the room is extraordinary. I think a lot of life works like that.
