Ranpo AI

What's great

Look, I’ve been living out of a suitcase for years, and Ranpo AI is honestly the first thing that actually lowered my blood pressure while house hunting. It’s fantastic because it acts like that one cynical friend who’s lived in every city and knows all the dirty tricks. Instead of me spending three hours cross-referencing prices and reverse-searching images, I just feed it a link, and it does the "paranoia work" for me. It’s the difference between guessing if I’m getting scammed and actually having data to back up my gut feeling.

What needs improvement

As for what could be improved, it needs to stop being so "polite." If a listing looks like a total rug-pull, the app should practically scream at me to close the tab. Right now, it gives me these balanced risks, but I want it to be more aggressive. Also, I’d love a "one-click" response generator—like, if it finds a red flag, give me a button to generate a text I can send to the landlord to call them out or verify their identity. It’s a killer tool, but if it gets faster and a bit more "street-smart" in its tone, it’ll be unbeatable.

vs Alternatives

I looked at a few other things before settling on this. I tried basic Chrome extensions that check for duplicate images and even tried just prompting ChatGPT manually, but it was a massive pain in the ass. The generic AI tools don't understand the specific "nomad tax" or the weird local loopholes landlords use to screw over international students. I chose Ranpo because it’s specialized—it’s not trying to be a general assistant; it’s trying to keep my deposit safe. It’s built by someone who actually gets the hustle, and that shows in how it flags the tiny details a general AI would ignore
