Changing your iPhone ringtone just became so much easier

With iOS 26, Apple finally made it easier to change your iPhone ringtone. All you need is an audio file under 30 seconds, then you can hit Share Use as Ringtone. Super simple.

That got me thinking: where do you actually get those audio files?

TikTok and Instagram are full of sounds we already know and love - and both let you download videos directly. So I built vibetone: import a downloaded video, and it extracts the audio (and cleans up the outro TikTok/Instagram usually add). No more GarageBand!

I'm building an app that makes changing your iPhone ringtone possible in 3 simple steps

vibetone makes changing your iPhone ringtone as easy as:

  1. Download your favorite song from TikTok or Instagram

  2. Import it in vibetone

  3. Press "Use as Ringtone"

With iOS 26, Apple finally made it possible to set ringtones without GarageBand. vibetone takes it a step further: it extracts audio from videos and automatically trims the 4-second outro social media platforms add, so you get a clean ringtone that sounds just right. TikTok and IG are full of sounds from big and small creators, now you can make your phone sound like you.

Why vibetone?

[ChangeLog] August 28 — No more “Coming soon” (and a couple other shiny updates) ✨

Hello friends, and welcome back to the changelog. The devs have been running on a balanced diet of espresso shots and questionable amounts of energy drinks, which means you guessed it: fresh updates are here. From saying goodbye to Coming Soon, to giving you a shiny red self-destruct button, to sprucing up Alternatives, and a shiny new footer, we ve packed a lot into this round.

Coming Soon Forum Threads

The old Coming Soon pages have officially retired (and you lot noticed). From now on, every new product you create gets its own forum thread. It is your place to share updates, drop teasers, or just shout into the void while you wait for launch day. People can still follow from your forum page to get notified when you go live, but now you can actually start the conversation early.
