Launching my first product today! Wish me luck!
Hey everyone,
I feel super nervous while typing this, but my first-ever PH launch goes live in a few hours.
I built Invoice Desk to help freelancers like me (and agencies) ditch multiple tools to manage their teams, projects, invoices, and tasks, and bring it all into a single space. I also integrated an AI assistant to do all these tasks for you, so you don't have to point and click.
It's surreal to go out there with such amazing products and talented creators, which feels like an honor within itself.
Let's all be great together!
I launched solo — and made it to the Top 5 today 🚀
Hey Product Hunt!
This morning I launched my first solo product ever: Controol a minimalist finance app built around one idea:
Know how much you can spend, not just what you already did.
No team. No paid ads. No launch list. Just late nights and building something I personally needed.
I honestly didn t expect much but hours later, it made it to the Top 5 of the day
The feeling? Wild.
Strangers are connecting with the mindset behind it, and it's been amazing to read their comments.
Invoice Desk - AI Native Invoicing & Time Tracking For Freelancers & Teams
Launching my own product on PH
Hey everyone!
I'll keep this short. I'm launching a product that I've been silently building for the past three months as a freelancer to help other freelancers and agencies manage their time, projects, and invoices well using an AI assistant that does everything for you with a single prompt.
I'm calling it Invoice Desk.
It started as a personal project, but I'm sure that a lot of people can benefit from it, so I'm gearing up for a launch on Product Hunt in the coming week and would appreciate any tips or suggestions on how to get it in front of as many people as possible.
I've fulfilled the checklist but is there anything else I should be doing?
Notes from a failed Product Hunt launch
After hours of reading best practices, crafting the perfect assets and assembling what felt like a bulletproof plan, we were ready to launch on Product Hunt. We worked so hard and genuinely believed we d wake up to thousands of sign ups and the Product of the Day badge.
The reality was very different. We saw a tiny boost in sign ups, got stuck at around 200 upvotes, and to top it off, finished below a food blender.
Freelancer turned product builder
Hey PH community,
Who is this new guy?
I'm Digvijay, but everyone calls me DJ (sometimes people don't get it in the first go and give up :)).
I've been a marketing buff for the past 9 years of my life, working with SMB's and agencies to help them market stuff and grow their business, which then turned into a consulting gig, which has been keeping me busy since the past 2 years. I'm thankful for every opportunity that I've had (being grateful is important, amirite?)
Why is he here?
Being a freelancer is great, but it's also a headache sometimes, especially the 'invoicing' part. Endless invoices to track and manage have always been a pain, and I, for one, buried myself into this for weeks at end. (I'm sure some of you can relate).
So, I joined hands with a close friend of mine and started developing an invoicing solution that would help me and countless other freelancers and agencies out there that may need a solution like this, which is easy to use and is easy on the pocket too.
But who are YOU really?
I'm just a guy who loves playing video games, telling stories that make people listen, playing the piano and sleeping. I LOVE sleeping (even though I don't get much of it).
It's really nice to meet y'all. I'm looking forward to sharing experiences with all of you.
Ciao!
