Just want to clarify that this client is *unofficial*. I'm building it in my spare time as an outside developer. 👮 Still early and very alpha, but already useful. Hiiii! Founder of Byte here. "Bytes" are phone-sized documents that can combine text, images, video, GIFs, drawings, sound, and hyperlinks (both to other Bytes and to the wider web). Cool idea! I wrote something like this a few years ago and called it Sound Party. The first prototype was a lot like like this one, but I found that it started working best when more traditional chat features were incorporated. The sounds were triggered by adding a hashtag to the message. Maybe something for you to play around with.
