I read this and Hooked in the same week, found Octalysis to be a deep dive into our motivations which lead to surprisingly powerful framework for building products, changing one's behavior, or designing experiences of any kind.

Sometimes I like to tell my dad when he's complaining about not improving his golf game: "Hey Dad, think of it this way...if you improved your score every time, you'd be shooting a hole in one on every hole! That's a little unrealistic. Gotta take the waves and create some new swells when things don't work out!"

Listening to audiobook, great production quality and fun to hear different types of answers, some read, some improv'd, some hybrid.

A+ ... This will supplement scratchpad for Scrivener and Evernote and Pivotal Tracker in my notetaking for fiction. Faster because I can start the note with just one click. Useful. I might even write a sample scene in it right now... (Edit: Okay! I just took 5 minutes and tried it out! Wrote a scene sketch and a short blog post about my first experience with Papier!...
