Skiff is an interesting product that after a year or so of active development, sold itself to Notion and is shutting down its suite of products - of which the most important and difficult to move, is EMAIL.
My email to support at Skiff on April 12, 2023
"Reassure me. I like Skiff, security devs like Skiff - I want to move some login emails to skiff - But Skiff has been active for a short time. And I ask myself - what is its medium term future?"
Skiff Support reply the same day:
"Thanks for reaching out! We're lucky to have a huge amount of funding, growth, and support, and we have many years of funding and growth for the future."
So what do I take from this - that I was right to be cautious about putting anything but a few eggs in a new basket - that intentions don't prove themselves except over the long term - that life is a contant fork in the road of how to react to changes, both good and not so good.

I have
* Drafts
* iAWriter
* Standard Notes
And from time to time I use Craft - which is a strange animal that I am never sure I like - and I keep deleting the content and then resurrecting it.
One of the things I am not so fond of in Craft is that it seems to regard each paragraph of writing as a separate block. It is possible to highlight multiple paragraphs and delete them in one action, but somehow I am not keen on the look of it.
So why would I want another note taking app?
I am attracted to note-taking apps. So Bear it is.
Question: Is there a way to see the time stamp on a note in Bear? Sometimes I look back on older notes and want to know when I wrote them.
Answer - Well it is easy to add the current date to a note - see the info under the DATES section here >> https://bear.app/faq/
