Anyone else hate setting up website tracking and paid campaign conversion goals?

Honest question, because I want to know if it is just me.

Every time I launch a campaign for a client, the same half-day disappears before a single ad runs. GTM container. Find the right button or form. Write the trigger. Name the event the way GA4 wants it. Then do it again for Google Ads, then Meta, then LinkedIn, each with its own idea of what a conversion is called. Test in Preview. Publish. Find out two weeks later that a theme update quietly broke the purchase event and the campaign has been optimising towards nothing...

I run a small agency in London and I have done this kind of setup hundreds of times. I still find it painful. The people I feel for most are the small business owners who have never opened Tag Manager and are told by every ad platform that they need conversion tracking before anything works.

So I built the thing I wanted: paste a URL, it scans the site and works out what can be tracked, you pick the events, and one click places the tags, triggers and variables in your GTM workspace for you to review and publish. Google verified the integration last month. It launches here on Tuesday.

In the spirit of forever optimising our taglines, I wanted to do a little experiment:
