I'm the founder of Celeris and a senior software engineer with 9 years of experience in distributed systems, backend platforms and realtime infrastructure. I started out building payment products at Payaza, then went deep into backend systems after fighting realtime problems at Payaza and HeySummit. That led me to build Celeris, a realtime WebSocket platform in Rust for high-throughput pub/sub across nodes and regions. I also maintain open source Rust crates, including Trypema, distkit and Laye, and share engineering stories on YouTube at Building Block Dev. Based in the Greater Toronto Area.
