Convenience vs Control: Where Should Your Notes Live?
And when it comes to storing your notes, would you personally prefer cloud storage for the flexibility of accessing everything from anywhere, on any device, without thinking about backups, or local storage for greater control and ownership over your data? Does your preference change depending on the type of work you re doing, for example, a casual internal sync versus a sensitive client conversation? I m curious whether people think about storage intentionally, or if convenience usually wins by default.
Worried About AI Listening to Your Meetings?
We ve become surprisingly comfortable inviting AI into our most private conversations. AI meeting assistants are everywhere now. They join our calls, record everything, transcribe everything, and summarize everything. But here s what I keep thinking about: it s not just founders discussing roadmaps. Doctors are speaking with patients and sharing deeply sensitive medical information. Lawyers are discussing confidential cases. Architects are reviewing multi-million-dollar budgets with clients. HR leaders are talking about salaries and performance reviews. In many of these conversations, highly sensitive PII is being discussed and we re letting third-party AI systems record and store all of it, sometimes indefinitely.
Genuinely want to understand:
How do you personally think about AI listening to your meetings?
Is convenience worth the trade-off?
