About

I like looking at products from a user's point of view. My interest lies in what works well what could be better, and how small changes can improve the overall experience.

How long did your growth slump last after putting up your first paywall?

We kept our product free for the first six months just to get people through the door. Word of mouth was great, signups were steady, and everyone seemed happy.

But the week we finally introduced a basic subscription plan acquisition dropped so fast it felt like hitting a brick wall. People who used to experiment freely suddenly turned super skeptical the second credit cards got involved.

For those who went through this how long did it take for your signup numbers to normalize after adding that initial price tag?

At what point did you stop caring about top-of-funnel traffic and focus purely on retention?

Early on it's so easy to trick yourself into thinking you have traction just because people are visiting your site and creating accounts.

But acquisition means nothing if everyone leaks out the back door a week later.

We used to celebrate every signup milestone until we realized half of them never came back for a second session.

Do custom camera angles actually stop images from looking like stock photos?

Default image generation settings always default to the exact same boring composition and lighting.

When we were making marketing banners every batch looked like it came from the exact same template. Adding random focal lengths and lighting styles via script sounds like a smart fix to force some variety.

Have you tried playing with negative prompts as well or do you mostly focus on randomizing the main input parameters?
