For me it was being given completely contradictory instructions: * "We need to show all of the text no matter how long" * "This looks ridiculous, we can't show everything" My initial inexperienced reaction was "That's not possible - choose one!". But that's clearly the wrong answer. There are so many ways to expand/collapse content or to change layouts to support content of variable sizes etc....

Honestly depends what I'm doing, whether I need to work closely with anyone and a bunch of other factors! Personally I think some kind of hybrid approach is best to maximise work-life balance while still being able to feeling engaged in work as not "just a job"
