Capacities
I was a bit slow on the uptake. I installed it but thought I probably didn't need it and it would be too much work. Then I watched a few videos and read a few blogs and realised that this app was literally screaming out to me. Yes, I had a lot of the information in Obsidian where I had made it look as nice as possible but as a very visual person it just wasn't the same. I think the only way I can describe it is Obsidian feels like working in a city and Obsidian is like working in the Countryside. You can do your work equally well in both, but it is so much more inspiring surrounding yourself with the beautiful scenery. Now I have started using Capacities, I do things differently. For instance I am a history fan. If I read a historical fiction (referencing real people and events) I not only write a quick review of the book but create profiles for the people and notes for the events and find out more about them. In other words Capacities is causing me to gain more knowledge from my sources.

Although Twos could easily manage everything, I use if for two specific things. To keep a running journal of what has happened/ what I have done, each day. Then to keep lists of things. These are not long term storage lists. But things like apps to check out, YouTube Channels to visit etc. So it is basically full of the messy parts of day to day personal life and transient things.

Anytype
Well I am only a couple of days in but Anytype is, for me, the perfect combination of Notion and Obsidian. So far I am in love with it. There are a few little niggles but you can expect the same with any App. I look forward to seeing if any of the niggles get resolved in future updates.

Eagle
I was so happy when I discovered Eagle. I was looking for a replacement following my brief period using Adobe Bridge when I was no longer using Adobe products. I have been using it for ages for my png images that I use for digital design work. I then started another collection to become a personal Instagram like collection of inspiration for card making etc. I am only now thinking it would make sense to use it for my Blog Images too.

Raycast
I love Raycast. I work with many of my Apps through it. It can probably do so much more for me than it does. Of course there is now Raycast Pro but I have not explored that yet as it is out of my budget for now.
MoneyWiz 2020 Personal Finance
I admit my experience with MoneyWiz didn't start well. I was having issues with my balance and if you can't trust the balance there is no point. I actually stopped using it for a period of time and used Money Dashboard. After Money Dashboard shut down I tried several Apps but none of them met my needs. I then revisited MoneyWiz and found how to resolve my balance issue and at the moment all is looking well and as it is available through SetApp it was already included in my budget. So at the moment i am now happy to recommend it.
Anybox
In the last few months Anybox has become a serious contender for the best bookmarking service on Mac/IOS. I was attracted to the affordable Lifetime Licence. The creator is responsive to suggestions and the App keeps getting better. It is clean and fast and the sync between devices is 100% reliable.
Ideaverse for Obsidian
Well done Nick, I had today marked on my calendar and couldn't wait to download and play with the Ideaverse. I can make use of so many of the inspirations. The logs are so much better that dropping everything into a daily note, I can revisit that topic next time, health etc rather than losing it in a random daily note somewhere. The sources map with it's call outs look beautiful, I'm going to utilise that. The Efforts in On, Ongoing, Simmering and Sleeping is brilliant. The more I look around I see that the actual structure is really minimal and very attractive and the biggest elements is the data within, As I have played around with my vault and been inspired by so many different people I have realised that more of my vault is dedicated to making lots of things look nice without as much accessibility to the information I need to be seeing. I have been highly inspired to edit my vault to utilise a lot of this thinking, but retaining the sense of me. As someone who often falls for shiny object syndrome I am proud of how I have approached this.

ChatGPT by OpenAI
I am ridiculously late coming to the AI table. I saw a few really bad outputs in the very early days and decided that AI was a bad ideas and could never be as good as a human could produce. I was wrong. After seeing various communities using the tool for different purposes I decided to give it another go. I pasted in my blog post (that I wrote) and asked it for 10 tweet variations that would attract readers. These were better than anything I would have come up with. I am naturally self deprecating, ChatGPT is going to be my new marketer and may well help draft some of the more fact based information in my blogs. I'm sold.

Arc
I love very nearly everything about Arc, I use it as my default browser but there are currently two specific websites that I have to use something else for, one of them is the Obsidian Forum. I think in time (Arc is new after all) it will be able to do everything I need.
Obsidian
I love Obsidian, I love that it can be anything you want it to be. For a while I tried to make it everything but recently I realised that 60+ plugins to do everything possible was basically Obsidian abuse. I have now realised that Obsidian does one thing brilliantly. It handles knowledge. So now I am using it as my complete second brain. I am using plugins like banners and call out manager to make it look pretty, I need that. I am using Templater and Dataview because hello, why wouldn't you and I am using the Tasks plugin with all the optional statuses so they show things like bookmarks and alerts. Also for knowledge based tasks, it I need to research this subject etc. I am moving the rest of my standard tasks back out into a tool that was designed for that very purpose, because it makes sense to do so.

Raindrop.io
I moved away from it for a while chasing after the next shiny thing. With the new updates it is now offering everything I wanted in all the other apps I have been trying. I think the only thing to make me leave now would be a life time deal of something that works just like it!

ClickUp
I have been using ClickUp as my main project/life management tool for nearly a year now. It plays nicely with other systems and keeps growing and improving. The best way I can describe being a ClickUp user is, paying for a burger and receiving a steak.
