Even with various optimizations to the search algorithm, for the 3x3x3 cube (with a God's number of 20), real-time processing currently tops out at around 10~11 moves. Beyond that, the app switches to Kociemba's algorithm to provide hints without guaranteeing optimality. On the other hand, the 2x2x2 cube, with a God's number of 11, runs smoothly and is fun to play using the current search approach.
