When your main feature relies on readable typography, the font size needs to be bigger. This has nothing to do with bad eyesight, but typography that is proportionate to the distance to the eyes.

I’ve been interested in Milanote from the beginning. It promised ultimate freedom to think and work out ideas on boards. Aimed at designers, I thought it would bring it all together: images, lists, typography. Weirdly, Milanote never delivered on typography. Given the fact that most design can’t exist without typography, this seemed a strange oversight. I reached out to the team and asked if...

Have you done some user testing? It doesn’t seem that Cupure is actually putting the user experience first: The typography of this app doesn’t make it easy to read – the contrary is the case. Justified text in such slim columns doesn’t work well on the web, because there is no hyphenation and the number of glyphs per line is too low. You also use a condensed sans serif, instead of a serif font,...

I tried Monese before I chose a TransferWise Borderless Account. Monese provided the most horrible customer experience you could imagine. Transfers never arrived, then ended up being rejected from banks, despite the fact I had filled out every information correctly. It simply never really worked. After months of struggling and back and forth with the reluctant support team of Monese (they...

Shared four years ago, and still no Firefox Quantum or Safari extension. Chrome exclusivity doesn’t make sense, from my point of view, if you really want to involve all your friends (who might be using all kinds of modern browsers). Since Point exists for iPhone, which by default needs to use the Safari engine for browser functions, I wonder how hard it would be to take that implementation and...

Essentially, Station is a dedicated Web browser (presumably Chrome-based) which is customized to bind Web apps into a fixed UI frame with icons representing each app. It does not “unify the user experience”, because each app keeps its very own UI. Station’s UI is heavily “Material Design” influenced. It is a tad flashier than Google’s Web apps, but generally looks very much like them. This...

There is an iOS app out now, based on the same engine (not 100% native). It works as well as Notion for Web or Desktop, but one has to log in quite often. On the Mac, the default font size for “normal” body text and lists is too small and that can’t be changed in settings, only made even smaller.

I’m a little confused. Is this a side product of https://www.producthunt.com/posts/notion-for-ios? Or does it just use the same name as https://notion.so?
