I'm David Friedman, founder of Conversify. I ran two businesses before this, a print shop and an e-cig company. Both were one-person grinds where the phone owned me: every appointment, reschedule and late-night question lived on WhatsApp. I sold both, handed over the numbers, never looked back. Then my wife's workday started ending the way mine used to 10+ hours a week on scheduling and customer chats nobody bills for. In the other direction I ran a large enterprise operation in Panama: five restaurants, a casino and a hotel under one company, which taught me what proper customer service looks like and how much of it small businesses are expected to do alone.
