I'm not a developer — I work full-time as a commercial HVAC installer. In my off hours I got pulled into the "vibe coding" wave and started digging into what people were actually shipping with these AI tools. I found thousands of SaaS apps built this way with real, exploitable vulnerabilities — the kind that could sink a business the moment it started to grow. That gap became LaunchGuard. I'm just a regular guy with a wife and a kid, building something on nights and weekends to try to make life better for my family — and to help other builders avoid shipping something that looks done but isn't actually safe.

Launch guard opinions

I'm an HVAC installer by trade, not a developer. Over the last few months I built LaunchGuard almost entirely with AI coding tools, nights and weekends around my day job a scanner that checks a codebase for the stuff that actually burns vibe-coded apps: leaked API keys, missing database security rules, vulnerable dependencies, that kind of thing. If it finds something, it can open a real GitHub pull request with the fix, not just tell you about it.

I built it partly because I got nervous about my own app after reading how many "vibe-coded" apps ship with exposed secrets or wide-open databases turns out it's a genuinely common problem, not a rare one.
