Judging a Product by its Landing Page

I often decide whether to try a product within seconds of seeing its landing page. A clear headline and clean layout draw me in, while vague jargon and stock photos send me straight back to the previous tab. It feels a bit shallow because a great tool might be hiding behind a poor page, but I rarely stick around to find out.

On the flip side, a stunning page sometimes masks a weak product, which is just as frustrating. How much does a landing page influence your decision to test a tool? Have you ever given a rough-looking site a chance and ended up loving the product?

Passkeys have been around for years. why is adoption still so slow?

Passkeys are objectively better than passwords.

Phishing-resistant, nothing to forget, nothing to breach, no password database to leak. the case for them is pretty airtight. and yet most products still default to email and password. most users have never set up a passkey. most developers have never shipped one.
