About

I build small, mostly-solo products. Right now that's GemReader: an Android reader for people who study from their own books — EPUBs, lecture PDFs and interactive workbooks in one offline library, with highlights that turn into a spaced-repetition deck and Anki decks that import directly. It exists because studying from a phone was worse than it needed to be. My textbooks rendered badly, workbook answers vanished on restart, and every reader wanted an account before it would open a file I already owned. Everything in it is encrypted on the device, and it carries no analytics, no crash reporter and no ad SDK — which means I find out what's broken when people tell me. So please tell me.

GemReader - The private study reader for Android

Every Android reader either mangles study material or wants an account first. GemReader does neither. Textbooks, lecture PDFs and interactive workbooks in one offline library. Workbook answers save themselves. Highlights become a spaced-repetition deck inside the reader — no export step — and existing Anki decks import. Everything is encrypted on the device. No account, no cloud, no telemetry, no ad SDK. Everything in the app today is free and stays free.

Why does every AI tell you your startup idea is great?

Ask ChatGPT to validate your idea. It'll find the market, the angle, the opportunity. Ask it to find the fatal flaw and it'll hedge, soften, and talk you back into it.

IdeaRoast is built differently - four agents with a specific mandate to find what's wrong. Real competitor data, real unit economics, no cheerleading.

IdeaRoast - Find your startup idea's fatal flaw.

Your startup idea has a fatal flaw. Four AI examiners find it — market gaps, competitor threats, unit economics, timing risks. $1. No account. 60 seconds.
