It lets you reuse the same DAC and audio chain across systems like Roon, Volumio, Moode or Lyrion without adding extra Spotify hardware to play lossless quality (where available).

Maker here 👋 Spotycast started as a personal workaround to keep a single DAC and playback chain across different audio sources, including Spotify, without adding more hardware. It’s intentionally not “deep integration” — just a boring, predictable bridge that plays nicely with existing setups. Happy to answer questions or hear how others handle mixed audio environments.
