I built this after seeing too many “redacted” PDFs that still leaked text when you copy-pasted or inspected them more closely. This doesn’t try to unredact anything or do anything clever — it just checks whether a PDF is actually clean at the text / metadata level before you send it to someone else. Happy to answer questions or explain what it checks under the hood.

A lot of PDFs that look “redacted” still leak information through hidden text layers, metadata, or invisible characters. This tool checks for that.
React PDF Audit runs entirely client-side and scans a PDF to see whether anything is still extractable before you share it. It doesn’t redact files or upload them anywhere — it just tells you if something was missed.
It’s meant as a quick sanity check for anyone dealing with sensitive PDFs who wants to know whether a redaction actually worked.
