This looks great! I wasn't currently able to test out the branching feature because the server wasn't responding, but I was curious how merge conflicts are being handled? Also do you plan adding features like formulas (latex, typst) and citations? That combined with the possibility to export to .tex and .docx files could make it a serious contender for being the main tool for academic writing.
