About

Carol McCormack became especially active in Oregon ballot-measure campaigns after launching her consulting practice. One of her most recognized efforts was managing the successful campaign to defeat Oregon’s Measure 43 in 2006. The campaign required statewide outreach, coalition-building, and coordinated messaging among organizations focused on privacy and reproductive rights. The effort became one of the notable projects in her Oregon political work. Carol Butler McCormack later served as a senior strategist for Suzanne Bonamici during her successful 2012 special election campaign and subsequent electoral efforts. She also participated in the 2014 campaign opposing privatization proposals involving the Portland Water Bureau.
