Fit Rest is one of the most complete Apple Health-based wellness apps I’ve tried. It doesn’t just display sleep, HRV, or activity stats - it connects them in a meaningful way. The GPS workout maps with heart-rate zones are super detailed, the recovery and readiness insights actually make sense, and the UI feels polished and premium.

Even without an Apple Watch, you can log vitals like water intake, caffeine, glucose, and blood pressure, practice guided breathing, and see detailed step analytics. Everything works smoothly and looks beautiful.

What needs improvement

It would be great to see even more social features for progress sharing. Customizable widgets would also make it even better.

I’ve tried several Apple Health apps but Fit Rest stands out for how deeply it connects different aspects of health. Instead of just showing data, it explains how sleep, heart rate variability, and workouts affect each other.

It also combines features that usually need multiple apps - like detailed HR zones, step heatmaps, and vitals logging (water, glucose, caffeine, BP) - in one clean, ad-free dashboard. The privacy-first approach and beautiful UI make it feel much more thoughtful and premium than most fitness trackers.

How accurate is the HRV and sleep stage tracking?

Fit Rest pulls HRV, sleep stages, and SpO₂ data directly from Apple Health and Apple Watch sensors, ensuring the same accuracy as native Apple Health data. The app then layers additional analysis on top, like recovery trends, readiness insights, and correlations with activity and stress levels - giving a deeper, more actionable view of how your rest impacts daily performance.

Can I see workout heart rate zones by segment?

Yes, Fit Rest’s workout view includes heart rate zones visualized by segment on a GPS map. You can replay each session to see intensity changes over distance and time, along with MET scores, calorie burn, and afterburn effects. It’s great for runners, cyclists, or anyone who wants a detailed breakdown of their heart performance across different workout sections.

Do widgets show hourly steps and weekly heatmaps?

Yes - Fit Rest’s widgets show both hourly step distribution and weekly activity heatmaps. The widgets also adapt to your daily goal completion and update dynamically as new Health data syncs in.
