About

I’m Benoît Granier — a composer, researcher, educator and entrepreneur working at the intersection of music, technology and innovation. I have a PhD in Computer Music and Composition and have spent more than 20 years exploring how technology can change the way we create and experience sound. I lead Music & Audio Production at Coventry University and have worked internationally across electronic music, immersive media and creative technology. I founded Kräftsound to explore a simple idea: what if digital music could become physical again? We’re developing technology that transforms audio into playable, 3D-printable records — while exploring new ways for artists and listeners to connect through music they can actually hold, make and share.

Kräftsound - Turn any track into a playable 3D-printed record.

Kräftsound started with a simple idea: turn sound into playable, 3D-printed records. But we wanted to go further. So we created the Kräftsound Playground — a growing collection of free creative tools to experiment with sound and music, discover unexpected ideas and create something uniquely yours. Our goal is to connect these experiments directly to Kräftsound, so what you create digitally can become something you can 3D print, hold and play.

Kräftsound - Turn music into something you can hold.

What if you could 3D print your music? Kraftsound transforms digital audio into unique physical editions that can be 3D printed at home, in a FabLab or through a print partner. Artists can create and share physical editions without pressing plants or minimum runs. Fans can make and own something unique. We’re building a new kind of physical music where every edition is created on demand, shaped by the music itself, and owned as a physical object. Digital music → physical ownership.
