Benjamin Hayt is a graduate researcher at the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School, where he develops primary embryonic and somatic cell culture systems from Aplysia californica to advance marine invertebrate research. His work focuses on refining media composition and stabilizing laboratory conditions for technically challenging marine cells. Beyond the lab, Ben Hayt designs water-powered drum filtration systems and advanced aquatic life-support environments. He is also recognized for competitive Japanese koi development and structured exotic chelonian habitat management.
