What would you tweet if you ran Product Hunt's Twitter account?

We've been talking about new products of the day and resurfacing some cool products from the past and are experimenting with a bunch of different social experiments. I'm curious as to what you would want us to surface more on Product Hunt's social channels?

Does Twitter become too daunting for you sometimes?

My birthday was 10 days ago, and I decided to make a big (bold) decision: To quit Twitter. Other than the memes, which I truly miss, Twitter was also a source of inspiration and a great networking tool. But I definitely was overwhelmed by it! Yes, the service's nature is too addictive, but what was even worse is how toxic it can get before you even know. It feels to me that everyone is shouting at everyone. Even in the more supportive communities, it always felt like shouting. Do you guys feel that too, or is it only me who gets easily overwhelmed with it?

Would you invest in meat substitutes like the Impossible Burger?

The meat substitute market is increasingly contested, and OG companies like Beyond Meat are posting record profits. The Impossible Burger - a collab between Impossible Company and Burger King - has seen Burger King have its best quarter of results in four years. Is this a market you feel bullish about or not?

If you could be a maker for any company, who is the company you'd choose and why?

I'd love to be a fly on the wall, mirroring Snapchat's Product & Experience teams. From positioning themselves as a brand to creating and maintaining an intimate space within the app, I'd be interested in learning how the magic happens!

Who is doing YC for makers?

It seems like someone would be giving a high number of makers a living wage to make things for 3/6/12 months. So much could come from giving people a chance to build and experiment without restriction.

What was your first product?

Today I launched #32 on PH and was thinking back to the first software product I made. It was a simple .exe popup I sent to a few friends...they had to type 'Andrew is awesome' before it would go away I was so pleased...

What are you working on this week? (w/c 9 September)

Hi makers! I'm focused on podcast partnerships this week for Product Hunt radio. I'm reaching out to tech podcasts to swap promo ads and reaching out to media platforms to swap content generated from our interviews. What are you working on? Let's keep each other motivated

If you could get 100% candid feedback from friends/coworkers, what would you ask about? 🤔

Working on a new app where you can get real feedback about how other people view your behavior. The goal is to see gaps where we don't act like we think we do. And to confirm where we're on the right track!
