I wrote joincap to overcome what I believe is bad error handling by mergecap and tcpslice. It saves a lot of time when dealing with corrupt pcap files compared to mergecap and tcpslice, by handling errors on the fly instead of failing and requiring pcapfix and a rerun like the others.
