It's a phenomenal book and your review is spot on @evan_armstrong. It's interesting to consider the power law in terms of Mauboisson's "success equation" and think how much is luck and how much is skill. For instance vintage years 92-98 clearly benefited from some luck (the dot-com bubble), and we'll likely see that same thing is true for vintage years 16-21. But then what will the reversion to...

The tagline made me think it was a more immersive (VR/AR) type of experience. Or at least that it would take a photo of a person and then avatarize them. Looks cute and could be fun. Probably better if they push hard on the nostalgia angle.

2x books, 1x TV script, 3x or 4x business ideas, and tons of projects at home. It's hard to focus energy in one direction long enough to see it through completion. I've always been that way. For example, several months ago, I had committed myself to visiting PH daily and picking one launch to post about elsewhere. I think it's been about two weeks since I've done that now and I'm trying to...

Great idea @alex_pu, @yuyang_zhang, and @ericyan_g! Will the Baryl Studio use reinforcement learning too to refine subsequent itineraries? For example, if it recommends Schmedlaps on my trip to Bogota, but I don't like it, can I provide that feedback to the system to get even more accurate future recommendations?

A simply beautiful product. Can’t wait to watch BRAVO do amazing things! Anybody that’s spent a day or more on PH has seen @qudsia_ali engaging in discussions, conversations, and reviews. She and the entire BRAVO team have clearly brought that same energy to making the product and engaging with customers and users. They’ve created an incredible and useful interface for enhancing employee...

Love the notion of making music more social again. I remember as a kid getting together with friends to listen to the newest CD that someone picked up that weekend. There was a shared nature, and humit is seeking to recreate that. Thanks @prithvi_sankar, et al!

What a great product, @alexandre_berriche! Does it allow various hierarchical views? Can I assign systems to teams within the company and delegate view/manage permissions to that team while retaining the ability to view the entire organization at higher levels?

Took me a few efforts to listen to the samples, but I finally got them. Also, I've read the thread over on ycombinator. A few thoughts: The professor and entrepreneur (obviously modeled after Jordan Peterson and Gary Vaynerchuk, respectively) sound excellent. The others all sounded fine too. I didn't have the artifacts that the others complained off on ycombinator. Even if there are artifacts...

The real key, I think, is to customize these things so that you're appealing broadly to employees. First and foremost, invest in them and show them that you as a founder value and trust them. Create a company that values its employees and they will rise to meet the challenges. Of course, incentivizing is important (and tying their interest to those of the company through equity stakes and...

Interesting idea @cheri_ruane, a few years ago when I was active on the apps, I would have tested it out firsthand. But I'm off the market (for good). So, I'll just ask some questions about it: does it automatically port your matches from the various apps (Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, et al) to Bl@ckbook? Or does the user have to screenshot and manually input information (including the app where they...

Very interesting product. Similar to Chores & Allowance Bot (which I've attempted to use with my kids). I'd be interested to see the functionality and interface more, but it looks very nice so far. Good work @diwik_goyal!
