I used to be a biomedical science student when I was in university. In that time, a problem that I found was that I'd revise for days for an exam, and once I've completed that exam, all that information I spent time learning... just disappeared. I noticed that the main studying approaches optimise doing well in exams, but not actually for understanding topics. You'd learn what one molecule did...
