This looks very promising for small teams and individual web site builders. But you really should provide a free trial (30 days or something) technical hurdles or not. Also, the pricing bit seems a bit naive. Forever licenses usually leads to disillusioned developers when thousands of users demand more and more without ever paying a cent again. I should probably add another quirk that I forgot in my frustration when writing the initial text. The Replit Agent started out by committing a 'main' branch to Github. This is all good and the way it should be since I did not specify anything else. But somewhere along the way the AI decided to fork the code - without telling me. And then it did it again after a while, again without telling me....

I started using Replit about 3 weeks ago. First on a trial basis and then decided to pay the quite ok monthly fee of $25. What I didn't realize back then was that once they got my credit card info they just keep charging for use even if cancel my sub. The thing is that Replit charges 'checkpoints' a 25 cents each no matter what it does. Implementing Google Auth with 2FA or failing over and over...

Nice idea! First try was successful if a bit ... bland. Looking for: - SSO login options - Way more sources (including local ones - how to index them?) - Higher video quality. Truth is that nothing below 1080p is accepted in socmed today. - A more fine grained control over the output (easy to say, hard to achieve)
