About

I’m Apparao Gudimalla, a physicist by training and entrepreneur by passion. I hold an M.Sc. in Nanotechnology and a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics, with post-doctoral research experience in Europe. After several years as a research scientist, I decided to pursue my long-time dream of building something meaningful for India. That journey led me to create Thapala — India’s first NextGen Mail platform. Thapala is built to solve the limitations of outdated email systems like Gmail and Outlook by introducing tCode, a unique number-based identity that makes communication simple, private, and inclusive. As a first-time, bootstrapped founder, I’m driven by the vision of taking India’s first homegrown communication product to the global stage.
