About

I build small, honest tools for the part of the web where AI agents do the work. APIbase.pro gives agents one MCP endpoint to call about 1,400 APIs and pay per call in USDC, with no account or API key. Provek.dev measures how much of a business really runs without a human and publishes the evidence. AIPUSH.app is a free analyzer that shows whether a website is ready for AI agents and answer engines. DefyCard.com compares crypto cards on real fees, with dated sources. Happy to talk about MCP, agent payments (x402, MPP), AI search visibility and building in public.

If your product charges per request, how do you handle retries?

When a program retries on its own, a lost response looks exactly like a failed call. For free APIs that is harmless. For anything that charges per call, a retry after a timeout can mean paying twice for one result.

Building paid tools for AI agents, I ended up relying on the payment itself being single-use, plus an idempotency key that returns the stored answer for a while. The part I'm still unsure about is how long that window should be. Too short and a slow recovery gets no answer; too long and you keep a lot of state around.
