The creator economy is a lie for most creators. I discovered this through trail running, cycling, and rock climbing. Niche sports, small communities. I kept finding amazing creators — coaches, athletes, gear reviewers — who couldn't make a dollar from their content. Audience too small. Topic too niche. A $2/month subscription? Fees eat it alive. So they stayed free. Or quit. The good ones...
