I'm a fine art photographer based in Northern California, USA. I also run a consulting firm, which means I spend a lot of time in meetings watching my laptop battery die in real time. So, I built the Battery Beggar as my first app. I built it because the standard battery icon has no emotional range, and I felt that was a problem worth solving. And I wanted funnier notifications to motivate me to get off my butt and plug in. I'm not a developer by training. Learned some python, html, css, js, etc in the past through youtube and books. And full disclosure, I use Codex/Claude to help me get over the hump of starting projects.
