This a clearly a case of the maker spending enough time and effort to really understand the needs of the market and build a product that effectively solves a real problem. People do not like clumsy, unsecured access cards and outdated badge readers but they also hate having to spend a fortune rip and replace their existing installations for modern upgrades - you guys have the perfect solution...
